KZN matrics checked for food poisoning

The KZN Education Department says a group of matric pupils who fell ill due to food poisoning are continuing to receive medical attention.

“Learners who were complaining about stomach pains, upon checking it was discovered that it was food poisoning and the Department of Health sent a mobile clinic to attend to those and the situation has been stabilised,” says Education spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi.

Mahlambi says that none of the pupils have been hospitalised.

He says the Hlabisa Gateway Clinic will continue to provide them with medical assistance.
